During the keynote presentation of the Podcast Movement 2015 conference, the audience was asked to demonstrate who has NOT started a podcast. Although a great amount of the people attending the keynote that responded to that question DO intend to start their own podcasts, there are those who say that they WILL NOT START a podcast.
Case in point is Tom Schwab, who is @TMSchwab on twitter.com. He is an attendee who explains his take-away from 31July2015 — that is, of NOT starting a podcast.
However, it is NOT because he does not feel that podcasting has no value. He is logical and truthful for a well-thought reason — YOU MUST HAVE THE CORRECT RESOURCES TO PODCAST (in this case, TIME is the issue). My respect for this businessman is enhanced, because he obviously wants to provide a QUALITY deliverable to his potential audiences.
Instead, he is going to focus on BEING A PODCAST GUEST, so that he can be promoted and grow his audience of listeners who hear him on other people’s show, and thus grow his leads and prospects, and thus improve his business and exceed his objectives.
In these few seconds, an attendee gives an appropriate reason for not starting a podcast — he has the right idea.
