11B- Podcasters’ conference — Report live from Podcast Movement 2014- RINGR

Live from the Podcast Movement conference exhibit area show floor, we have an interview with Tim Sinclair, the CEO of www.ringr.us.

The product he demonstrated today was one which should provide long-distance interviews (not on Skype) that provide same-room sound.

As you will hear in this audio episode of Podcast Reporter, Tim explains the reason why Skype interviews may not deliver great audio quality for both ends of the recorded conversation.

The beta is good until January, 2015, and the availability is targeted for September, 2014.

For more information, you may reach Tim Sinclair at:

or visit the web site at www.ringr.us

09- Jamie Davis used podcasting in his journey as the “PodMedic”

 Podcast success stories appear in the industries other than online marketing. Such is the Enterprise that Jamie Davis has built since 2006, when his first podcast of the MedicCast.com appeared. He was one of the first podcasters on the scene, and he has added to his business with six other podcasts, videocasts, offerings and products for the health care industry, consultation, membership sites, and even podcast episodes and back-catalogs sold on iTunes(R).

Since then, he has launched six other podcasts, including:

Health Tech Weekly at www.htweekly.com;

NursingNotesLive.com (a companion podcast);

Innovations in Patient Care (on iTunes);

DisasterPodcast.com (for disaster responders);

InsightsInNursing.com;

The Nursing Show;

and his flagship podcast,

MedicCast.com

In addition to being a full-time podcaster and Health Care journalist, he is also a teacher at his Alma Mater college. He has Health Care industry offerings via his membership site at mediccastExtra.com.

As you will hear in this episode, he was serious about podcasting and took the course from Paul Colligan in 2007 called Podcast Secrets — in which he won the award for “Best novice podcast” from the entire group of course students. With the gems learned in that offering, he proceeded to the practical application of monetizing his podcast.

However, he discovered that his success has given him far more than money with his production company he now runs. It has given him the metrics that really matter in life — satisfaction, energy, happiness, enthusiasm and the passion to continue the podcasting and health industry journalist pursuit.

We honor Jamie as one of the first podcasters in the early days of adoptiing podcasting. And many of us can learn from his experience, counsel and successes.

Unfortunately, due to personal and family commitments, he will NOT be attending the Podcast Movement conference — but he will join us there in spirit.

If you wish to contact Jamie, his information is:

– twitter:  @podmedic

– web site:  www.MedicCast.com and mediccastExtra.com
